City Psychology has its foundation in promoting and furthering psychological, physical, and cognitive health in older adults. It is our belief that despite the challenges that come with aging, it can be a period of substantial growth, health and vitality. Whether it be assessing an individual for memory loss or other cognitive impairment, individual psychotherapy, or working with a family to provide education on how best to help a loved one, we take a humanistic, goal oriented approach to helping our clients. We feel this is the best way to assist our clients to "age successfully."
"When it came to working with my mother during the last chapter of her life, Dr. Krohn's greatest gift was his humanity. As Mom deteriorated, Dr. Krohn was a sustaining force and she lit up when it was a "Dr. Krohn" day. He was skilled not only working with Mom, but with us as well. He ushered us through the different stages of the aging and transitioning process with generosity and expertise. When an elder is in the latter stages of life, having a mental health professional like Dr. Krohn on our team was a gift. Dr. Krohn made both my mother's life and ours far richer".Lois Barth
